SPLAB @ Doe Bay is a series of readings at an amazing retreat on Orcas Island, curated by your friendly neighborhood SPLAB. There are accommodations from the rustic to the luxurious, designed to meet any budget & the cafe is remarkable.

Included in the series are Michael McClure, Sam Hamill, George Bowering, Anastacia Tolbert, Greg Watson, Judith Roche and other fine poets and writers.

All readings and movie screenings are free. Workshops are pay-what-you-can.

For people who want to attend any event, Doe Bay is offering a special discount: Anybody that books a stay at Doe Bay and lets them know that they are coming because of the SPLAB series will qualify for a 25% discount off of their stay. Additionally, if you pay for a 2-night stay at regular price, you can add on Sunday and Monday for FREE if you want to attend the SPLAB event (or Movie Night on Mondays, also hosted in the amazing Doe Bay Café). Poet & interviewer Paul E Nelson founded SPLAB (Seattle Poetics LAB) & the Cascadia Poetry Festival.
