The event will include:
  • spontaneous writing
  • each line being one continuous image (or phrase)
  • alluvial technique
  • a talk on Composition by Field (Robert Duncan) & Projective Verse (Charles Olson)
    - Are they the same? Talk moderated by Paul Nelson

Recommended reading:
  • Charles Olson - ABCs for Rimbaud and In Cold Hell, In Thicket (put your hands on the book, no anthologies.)
  • Duncan - Letters (if possible. It is out of print) & The Opening of the Field

McClure headlines the 6th Annual Allen Ginsberg Memorial Open Mic Poetry Marathon
Saturday, April 5, 2003 8PM
Following Michael McClure's reading, there will be an open mic. Come to read your tribute to Allen, read work relevant to the times, or come just to watch. There will be a Poetry Videoconference link with Kurt Heintz and the Chicago E-Poets network.

Suggested donation:
