Poetry Reading with Paul Nelson
Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Father/Poet/Teacher Paul Nelson, co founder of the Northwest SPokenwordLab is author of the recently published Time Before Slaughter, his first book of poetry.  He writes one American Sentence every day.

Paul Nelson earned his M.A. from Lesley University in Organic Poetry, a study of North American poets writing spontaneously, including Walt Whitman, William Carlos Williams, Charles Olson, Denise Levertove, and Robin Blaser. He is specifically interested in writing that is created in the moment, but with tremendous discipline.

He will be offering a free workhop is organic poetry earlier in the day at the San Juan Island Library.
