06.jpg Me & Fe. This picture is a shot of Lidgiaís mother Fe, who traveled from Holguin to Havana to meet me. We are pictured here in the front yard of Rafael, Lidgiaís partner. Fe is the daughter of my Grandmother’s sister, Aida Isolda, whom we called Charito. She left Cuba during the Mariel boatlift period in the mid 80ís and I met Charito in Miami. She had a wicked sense of humor and, politically, was to the right. She died a few years ago.
