1st Living Room of 2012 w/ Graham Isaac

December 21, 2011
Splabman

With the start of a new year, so comes the opportunity to look ahead, in both life and writing. On the 3rd of January, 2012, Graham Isaac will facilitate a brief discussion of what it means both conceptually and practically to set goals for ones’ writing. We’ll talk about what goals we may have for the new year, what goals we may have set and met (or not) in the past and how to keep such things from becoming oppressive. This will be followed by writing prompts and the usual circle of critique. Bring any new or old material you’d like to share and get feedback on.

Writers of all ages and skill levels gather Tuesdays at 7P to read new work, the work of someone else or to just be in the engaging company of other writers. Your donation of $5 helps SPLAB continue our programming. Please bring 8 copies of the work you plan to read. If you do not bring copies, they are available for 10c.

Living Room happens in the new SPLAB in the Cultural Corner at 3651 S. Edmunds. (Look for the SPLAB sign on the wall and come inside.) We’re 2 blocks from the Columbia City Link Light Rail Station. (Parking is available on the school grounds.)
