Interesting workshop at Hugo House

D–Diction–Dictionary
What dictionaries are within you waiting to be told? What words are yours and what are their meanings? In this writing workshop you will bring together threads from your history and imagination and begin to create a dictionary that is uniquely yours. Composing your own dictionary is a generative act that will probe the edges of your interpretations and move your work in new directions. In recent years, the dictionary has become a form for writers to glean from, to adapt, and to shape to fit their individual writing projects. The structure works for poets, storytellers and memoirists. Come get started!

10.13.10 South Seattle Beacon article

Mike Dillon did a great job with this. I am grateful to him for taking care to get the story right. (Organic poetry goes a little beyond most Beat poetry, but that’s splitting hairs.)
