Rae Armantrout Wins Pulitzer

Every so often, a major poetry prize will go to someone quite out of the mainstream of US American poetry. Last week it was Rae Armantrout winning the Pulitzer Prize. I had a chance to see her at the Buddhist Center in San Diego a few years ago with Eileen Myles and Jerome Rothenberg.

You can hear her read at the 92nd St Y in NYC here.

Congrats, Rae.

A Time Before Slaughter reading in Auburn

WRM_Reading_Poster

Click above for the amazing poster promoting my return to Auburn to read from A Time Before Slaughter, Friday, May 21, 2010 at 7:30PM. The White River Valley Museum is at 918 H St. S.E., Auburn, WA. www.wrvmuseum.org for directions or more information on the museum’s fine work. Their assistance was invaluable for this project.
